About the Cause
Garnish GAA
Garnish GAA is a small rural club in West Cork. The club has always been used to operating on the edge but in, recent years, it has succumbed to the social pressures associated with rural depopulation. For players travelling from Dublin, Michelstown is half-way. Garnish is the furthest GAA club from Dublin in Ireland with its clubhouse located at the tip of the Beara peninsula. Despite struggling for numbers, its teams remain competitive in Béara and Cork.
