Event Details

The Dublin team have decided to take on a challenge to cover 1 Million Meters in March.  We will run, walk, cycle, row and crawl if we have to, to raise much need funds for Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice.  Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a little or a lot. Anything helps. Thank you for your support.

LauraLynn is the ONLY Children’s Hospice in the Republic of Ireland and provides palliative care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families through symptom management, planned short respite breaks, emergency and end-of-life care, family supports and bereavement care.

They care for approx. 150 – 160 children and their families who are actively availing of hospice services, and another 60+ bereaved families.   Some families use the hospice for many years, while others may only use it for end-of-life care/bereavement support.   Care is delivered in their hospice, at hospital, in the community, or in the family home.   https://www.lauralynn.ie/lauralynn-house

The cancellation of event-based fundraising for the foreseeable future, and the economic uncertainty and financial hardship ahead will reduce fundraising income significantly this year.
Depending on the duration of the crisis and the severity of the economic impact, they project fundraising will reduce by 30-60%.
