  • Hi all, Thank you all very much for your support! I have been kept busy and have completed a looped cycle in Shanaglish , NewQuay and Peterswell ! II you are interested in cycling for leisure, search for Gort Cycle Trails and join the Facebook Group or check out the loops I have started to document here https://workinglivingtravellinginireland.com/gort-cycle-trails So far I have raised 890 Euros, 140 via Idonate, 600 on a Personal Facebook Fundraiser, 70 on a page Facebook Fundraiser, and 80 Euros was raised via Instagram. I have well passed my aim of 500 Euros, and would like to thank you for your unwavering support.. 9 days to go, and as it costs 400 Euros to train a buddy, I am setting myself the goal to aim to raise another 310 Euros. This will mean 3 people in my local community can get trained to become a buddy. Thank you for support & sharing the final push for this worthwhile fundraiser! Yours in cycling, Katleen

  • Frosty morning so wrapped up well to go onto one of the local cycle loops I have mapped, this one is called the #LimeParkLoop It's been a while I have cycled early in the morning and must say it is such an enjoyable experience..overlooking frosty fields, very little traffic, the sun on the horizon. It really sets me up for the day. Just don't forget to wear gloves! Help me raise €500 for Cycle Against Suicide to train a buddy in my local community to be a listening ear for someone who is feeling low, depressed, suicidal. The same can't be said about the 670 km I have signed up for to cycle! I have cycled around 80 km!   • Thank you to those that have already sponsored me! Today was a beautiful day, and after doing some administration, I headed out. I live in a rural areas, and have discovered quite a few local cycle loops. The one I cycled today was the Big Skehanagh Loop. I haven't found a buddy yet, so I will probably meet people (socially distanced) so we can go on a trip together. I am hoping to go for a lovely cycle tomorrow inbetween Gort and Kinvara.
