Members of the Challenge Cycling Club (Oranmore) are taking part in a number of cycling challenges: 

6 cyclists from the group are taking on Mizan to Malin head on 30th July covering 585km non-stop (toilet and food breaks are allowed!!).

They have chosen to fundraise for Down Syndrome Galway Branch . All funds raised here will go directly to our fabulous Centre in Claregalway where we provide services to our members such as Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Parent and Toddler Group, Adult Education course plus much more.

Recent Updates

Next up is the 585km trip from Mizen to Malin heads. The 6 riders and full support crew will depart Mizen head at 12pm on Friday 30th July and will attempt to complete the journey in under 24 hours.

The first event is over with all members completing the Donegal 555. With bikes rolling out of Letterkenny from the hour of 6am, the mood was upbeat despite the hours of cycling ahead. The weather held up and while it was dark when the bikes finally came home from 3am onwards, the sense of achievement was evident.
