I'm taking part in Virtual Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay Swim 2021. I've set a challenge for myself to swim 26km (approx. 16 miles) throughout the month of August to help fundraise for Cancer Care West in Ireland. Cancer Care West is an organization that helps cancer patients and their families through a wide range of support services. It means a great deal to me to fundraise for this cause having just lost my mother to cancer a little over a month ago.
