On the 11th September 2021 Gardaí attached to Newcastle West District, along with their families, friends, and fellow blue light emergency services, will be cycling the Limerick Greenway from Rathkeale to Abbeyfeale. The cycle will coincide with a Garda Open Day at the Gaelscoil, Station Road, Newcastle West, which is situated beside the Greenway. We are hoping that participants in the cycle can pit-stop at the Open Day, and that locals from across West Limerick will visit our Open Day in aid of Little Blue Heroes. A number of local and national Garda Units will be on display and available to interact with members of the public. All are welcome to attend, and any donations to the Little Blue Heroes Foundation would be much appreciated!

The Newcastle West Open Day will run from 12pm to 3pm on 11th September 2021.

We will also be running a Sensory Friendly event from 11.30am to 12pm prior to the main event.

We have chosen to fundraise for Little Blue Heroes Foundation as this is a charity which has close ties with An Garda Síochána, and we have witnessed the outstanding work they do. All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
