Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page on iDonate.ie I'm taking part in . I've chosen to fundraise for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
In August 2020 Mairéad was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, an incurable condition that currently effects around 400 people in Ireland, 20 of them in the North Tipperary area.Mairéad is determined to do something positive about her situation, and is to that end featuring in a 5k Walk around Nenagh on April 3.
Mairéad Gill is well known as proprietor of The Peppermill & Pepe's restaurants in Nenagh, with her husband Robert. They want to raise awareness as well as funding for motor neurone disease when she sets out on her mobility scooter on Sunday afternoon, April 3. Mairéad is hoping to be joined by a large group in traveling a 5km route around Nenagh.
The walk will be the 1st of 3 'Motor with Mairéad' local events in support of Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
