In the short time spent in the Galway Hospice, my mother and our family were given a level of care beyond anything expected. Unfortunately though her time here was brief, the impression it left on us was immeasurable. Carol loved her trips out to Connemara with her family and many of my earliest memories are from here. This passion for exploring the area is engrained in me thanks to my mum. With that in mind, my friends and I have decided to take part in a walk which will see us set out from Oughterard and trek to Leenane Village on July 2nd/3rd. Covering roughly 55km of the Connemara Western Way. I've chosen to fundraise for Galway Hospice Foundation.
