We, The Flamin' Mongrels, are a group of friends from Westport that teamed up to join (and probably win, let's be honest) this year's Mongol Rally. This Rally is the greatest motoring adventure on planet earth! It's meant to take you out of your comfort zone and straight into mountains, desert and steppe - all in a tiny car. This year's rally will not end in Mongolia because of the war going on in Ukraine, but instead, the new official finish line will be in Georgia. We shall aim our wanderly wagon there, taking in Iran, Turkey, the Balkans and a heap of Europe on the wayhaaaaay!

There's no set route, no backup & no hand holding! It's just us & our chariot of chance on the open road for 5 weeks straight and the best bit... It's all in the name of charity!

Our chosen charity is CARMHA for which we hope to raise plenty of cash in the process of preparing and completing the rally. Carmha is Irish-based and provides peer & professional support to people with mental health and addiction issues. We love the work these legends put in and want to use the rally to raise awareness and funds to support their excellent work.
