We have all been touched by cancer in some respect. If not ourselves, then someone in our family is has had that dark conversation with their doctor. Some have made it and survived, others have been less fortunate. Both of my parents have had cancer, my Dad had a very agressive cancer in the early 2000s which he beat, and he's still going strong. My mum had cancer a few years later and also thankfully beat it, and they both continue to thrive into their late 70s.

Mum has lost two of her siblings to cancer, and it continues to weigh very heavily. 

I've chosen to fundraise for ARC Cancer Support Centres. All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause. ARC offer thousands of cancer patients and their families with extraordinary supports through their cancer fight, physical and psychological - and also practical. Survivors say that they make peace with their plight reasonably early, but they worry incessently about those they might leave behind them.

Nobody wants to be missed.
