This Charity Cycle by Thrombosis Survivor, Barry Murphy in aid of Thrombosis Ireland, The Blood Clot Charity, to raise donations & much-needed awareness about the risk of blood clots & the signs & symptoms to watch for. Barry is planning on cycling from his home in Broadford, Co. Clare to Donegal Town on the of 24th June 2022, in one day. Total distance 270km with an approximate total saddle time of 13.5 hours and an average speed of 20-21km. Journey time is estimated 5am – 9pm. Plan is to stay away from main roads. Journey routing through Clare (Feakle, Flagmount), Galway (Loughatorick, Drumkeary, Rushfield, Leitrim, Kilcooley, Kilreekill, Kilconnell, Ballinamore Bridge, Ballygar, Creggs), Roscommon (Dunamon, Ballymacurly, Upper Manor, Elphin), Leitrim (Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim Village, Drumshambo, Glenkeen, Glenfarne, Kilticlogher), Fermanagh (Garrison, Belleek), Donegal (Cliff, Ballintra, laghey, Donegal Town, in time for a pint of the black stuff hopefully).
