PHX Ireland's new charity partnership with ISPCC is to help support the children’s charity with their aim, of providing a range of services directly to children and families, and advocate for change to enhance the lives of children in Ireland.
PHX Ireland is Ireland’s leading fully integrated healthcare provider and includes companies: LloydsPharmacy, United Drug & TCP Homecare.
This Christmas, it is our goal to Support Childline on Christmas Day! To reach our goal, we are fundraising by selling Christmas Cards designed by the children of staff at PHX Ireland, United Drug, Lloyds Pharmacy Ireland and TCP.
In 2021, Childline experienced a 28% increase in calls from Children who were “Anxious and Isolated” during the 3-day Christmas period. It takes 12k to run ChildLine for just one day so, we at PHX Ireland believe that we can strive to raise the funds to ensure that Childline is supported for the whole day on Christmas day.
ISPCC Childline is Ireland’s 24-hour active listening service for children and young people. Childline is free to contact from anywhere in Ireland online, by phone or by text. It is here every day of the year – including Christmas Day. The service is confidential and non-judgmental. Childline volunteers are here to listen to children, to believe them, to support them, to empower them and to strengthen their resilience to help them cope with any challenges they may face.
