    Training Hike #5 - Spinc and Glenealo Valley Walk - 25,000 steps / 19km. Have to admit, while the weather was better this time round the hike was tough on the auld joints. It took us 4hrs total so a good training session for Kerry. This picture was taken of this friendly deer who literally came right up to me but sadly him head butting my rear end with his antlers was not caught on camera, so not really as friendly as he first made out LOL. Obviously he’s been well used to being fed on the hill by humans! None the less, a great experience.

    Training Hike #4 is done and dusted ;-) A group of us took Djouce by storm - literally by snowstorm this Sunday! LOL Covering 11k steps / 7.5km in just over 2hrs. Nothing like freezing weather and beating down hail stones and snow to pick up the pace ;-) Thanks for all the support and continued donations. Very much appreciated.

    Training Hike #3 Even on a weekend break, I found the opportunity to get the steps in and challenge the stamina ;-) 8,000 steps towards the bigger goal on the most beautiful beach in Northern Ireland, Ballycastle.

    Training Hike #2 - 5th Feb A solo hike on Sunday (which was a little mentally tough as the lazy gremlin kept poking into my head to stop LOL). But all was rewarded with this wonderful view of the Sugar Loaf Mountain as Buddy, Holly (the pooches) and I covered 8.5km across Ticknock and the Dublin Way. #result #happyhiker
