A colleague of mine at Trellix (formerly McAfee) is organising a climb up Carrauntoohil (Ireland's highest mountain at 1,039m) to raise funds for Cork University Hospital - the event is called Climb For Aileen - 2023.

Your support will help to bring specialised surgical equipment to CUH that will allow advanced procedures, such as HIPEC, to be performed on patients with abdominal malignancies, such as colorectal and ovarian cancer.

We probably all know too many people who are affected by cancer - dear friends, family members, colleagues and people in your wider community. Hopefully, advancements in medicine and science will lead to a breakthrough fast and a cure will be found soon.
However, until then, all we can do is support charities like this and be there for our loved ones who are bravely fighting this terrible disease.

Also, wish me luck for this climb which has somehow crept up on me and I am not exactly at my highest level of fitness... :-D
