I'm taking part in Croagh Patrick Climb for Galway Hospice.

As you may know, my Dad lost his 2.5 year battle to Laryngeal cancer quite recently. In his last couple of weeks he was admitted and cared for by the Galway Hospice Foundation.

I cannot begin to express the care given to my Dad here, and beyond that the level of empathy and kindness shown to every member of my family who entered the building to visit.

I wanted to do something positive during a time in my families life where it has been extremely tough.

This is especially meaningful to me as Dad always wanted to climb croagh patrick and said to me after his first bout of cancer the next time I'm climbing it that he will come along to. Unfortunately that never came to fruition but hopefully this will be a way that we can put that to right.

I've chosen to fundraise for Galway Hospice Foundation . All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
