Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page on iDonate.ie. I'm taking part in the 23rd annual Tour de Munster charity cycle - an event I've organised and participated in for the past 23 years. I've chosen to fundraise for Munster Branches of Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI) as part of the Tour De Munster 2023. I don't have a close relative with DS but have seen first hand the huge difference which TdeM fundraising makes; As just one example, I've seen a little girl who, at two years old, medical experts said would be non-verbal. But she defied experts and learned to speak through Speech and Language Therapy provided as a direct result of TdeM fundraising. She is now 14 and recently wrote to one of this year's TdeM stalwarts. We're privileged to share her journey and to be able to help make it better. I've learned that people with special needs have an incredibly special ability - the ability to make the rest of us feel special when we give them the helping hand they so richly deserve. All funds raised here will go directly to DSI Munster branches where they will be used to  provide essential services and therapy for people living with Down Syndrome.
