In January 2019, we lost my dear friend and colleague Alan McQuillan to a blood clot. Alan had been feeling unwell for a short while, but due to a lack of awareness of the symptoms of a pulmonary embolism, he sadly passed away suddenly. 

This fundraiser is in memory of our lovely Alan, who had a heart of gold and is dearly missed by many. I hope to raise vital funds for Thrombosis Ireland, a charity that works hard to promote awareness of pulmonary embolism and its signs, provides support and save lives.

As part of this fundraiser, I am running a giveaway on my Instagram page starting Monday 9th of October. The fundraiser will finish, and the winner will be chosen on World Thrombosis Day, Friday 13th of October. Details on how to enter are on my instagram page @thisisemmapower.
