Hi everyone,
While I was working in the U.S last summer my friend and roommate, Padraig Schaler was knocked off his bike cycling to work on June 27. He sustained a serious head injury and has been in a coma ever since.
I'm taking part in this event to help raise money for the rehabilitation treatment Padraig is receiving in Germany.
The challenge is to swim off every county around Ireland that has a coast over 2 days!
We'll be starting in Balbriggan on Saturday the 12th and finishing in Bray Sunday night for our 17th and final dive into the icy Irish sea!
Well done Andrew! From Maeve, Niall, Dad, Judy & Grandma
Good man drewb!

About the Cause
Caring for Padraig
Padraig Schaler, a 2013 TCD graduate from Glasnevin, Dublin, acquired a very severe brain injury when he was hit by a van on 27 June 2013 as he cycled to work on Cape Cod. Nobody was ever prosecuted.
He is now living with his family in Dublin. He requires 24-hour care and is fully dependent.
All proceeds go to the Caring for Padraig fund, administered by a Committee independent of the family.
