ADI's Charity SkyDive for the Irish Cancer Society and LauraLynn

Created by Analog Devices

We are a group of 12 employees from Analog Devices in Limerick, and we have joined together to take part in a charity skydive for the Irish Cancer Society and LauraLynn Ireland’s Children's Hospice!

The skydive is currently booked to take place on the 1st of July 2024, where all twelve members will be completing a tandem skydive from 10,000ft! Each team member will cover the cost of their own skydive, ensuring your donation goes directly to our chosen charities only.

The team taking part in the skydive are:

  • Seán Moore
  • Louise McGrath
  • Aoife Prendergast
  • Brónagh O' Hanlon
  • Enda Kilgarriff
  • Tiago Domingos Martins
  • Rowan Treacy
  • Sam Trimble
  • Kyle Jansen
  • Doireann Lawless
  • Luke Vickery
  • Abdulaziz Alharmoodi

The team's choice to raise funds for both the Irish Cancer Society and LauraLynn Ireland's Children's Hospice stems from their impactful work in supporting those affected by serious illnesses in Ireland.

Irish Cancer Society: The Irish Cancer Society (ICS) is a beacon of hope for those affected by cancer in Ireland. Established in 1963, it provides patient support, financial aid, and cancer information through its support line. ICS also funds research, advocates for better policies, and engages the community in awareness campaigns. Fundraisers play a crucial role in supporting the Irish Cancer Society, contributing to 97% of its yearly income. By supporting ICS, we contribute to a brighter future for cancer patients and their loved ones.

LauraLynn Ireland's Children's Hospice: LauraLynn is Ireland's only children's hospice, providing essential care for children with life-limiting conditions and residential care for young adults with disabilities. Established in 2001 by Jane and Brendan McKenna, the foundation was born out of their personal experience after losing both their daughter, Laura (4) and Lynn (15), within two years. Witnessing the lack of respite and specialized care for children with life-limiting conditions, they dreamed of creating a dedicated hospice in their memory. LauraLynn offers services such as symptom management, family support, end-of-life care, and bereavement support.
