I am running in the Dublin Marathon on Sunday 27th October. This will only ever be my 2nd Marathon. I ran my first marathon 14years ago in 2010. At that time I was running with a lovely group of ladies from Dundalk one of which was Collette O'Hagan. Collette is now running her 1000th Marathon in Dublin on the same day. I'm supporting Colette on this journey and helping to raise funds for two very worthy and great charities.

I've chosen to fundraise for North Louth Hospice and Homecare Foundation and Féileacáin (Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Support) . All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.

The North Louth Hospice provides vital care for those suffering from cancer, they provide patient driver services, home care services, special equipment, nursing care, family support and counselling services.

The second charity Féileacáin provides support services for bereaved parents who are affected by the unfortunate death of babies during pregnancy or at the time of birth. They provide personal, emotional and practical support to parents in numerous ways including memory boxes, counselling, support groups, workshops and events which help parents in the grieving process.

Both of these charities are not for profit and depend on much needed funds which are donated by the public. Any donation no matter small would be greatly appreciated, sharing is also a great way to show your support.
