In her final days the North West Hospice looked after and cared for not only Mam but us as a family too. They are an absolutely vital service in the north west and it’s only when a family member becomes terminally ill do we realise the true importance of this service. They’re an absolutely fantastic hospice with fantastic people.

For Mam’s 10th anniversary I’m planning on running from Quin, Co. Clare where she was from to her final resting place in Achonry Cemetery, Co. Sligo, a total of 168km. I’m planning to complete this in 7 days from Sunday the 6th of July to Saturday the 12th of July. This will equate to 24km’s a day which will be just over a half marathon each day for a week.
