This year the Galway Rape Crisis Centre is still in need of support and we are  committed to raising as much money as possible in aid of their invaluable work.

Our aim is to swim in the sea at Salthill, everyday, over the course of November. It's gonna be chilly! Our hardy crew this year consists of 6 students from the University of Galway. We are all fanatics of the initiative and have made some amazing memories and close friends in previous years of Coldvember. We want as many people as possible to experience the amazing energy and atmosphere at Blackrock every morning in November!

We would love you to get out and join in on the cold water dips in support of our charity, whether you can make it to Salthill or even just your local beach! Throughout the course of November there will also be fun games, competitions and much more, so make sure you don't miss out! We also try our best to feed the hungry swimmers in the mornings through the contributions of the many incredibly generous local businesses in Galway City. 

The GRCC are a local charity that aim to lessen the impact of sexual abuse and sexual violence, and to achieve a society that no longer tolerates these crimes. They offer a wide range of services including; a helpline, counselling, accompaniment and advocacy, and they also offer training and education. Since establishing in 1984 they have since grown into the largest rape crisis centre outside of Dublin and have helped and provided care for countless survivors of sexual abuse and trauma. This year the GRCC will be using the funds raised to build a permanent home for their operations in Galway city. From here they will continue their fantastic work to help those who have experienced sexual trauma and abuse.

We are incredibly privileged to have the opportunity to raise funds for this fantastic cause and we would really appreciate any support you can give! Whether that is showing up to the swims and events, buying a beanie (all the profits of which goes to the GRCC), or donating to this page!

The fun begins at Blackrock diving tower on the 1st of November at 7:20, we would absolutely love to see you there!
