We've chosen to fundraise for Children's Health Foundation Crumlin formerly CMRF Crumlin and Embrace FARM .

Declan , Kenny and Martin are three Dads who have lost children and have found the support and help of the above charities exemplary during there time of great loss .

We are climbing Croagh Patrick Mountain in Co. Mayo on the 15th of April in memory of or children Elena, Zack and Declan .

All are welcome to join us on the day .

We are doing this charity climb to raise funds for both organisations and to highlight the importance of the great work they both do .

Declan and Kennys employers Allegro Ireland along with there work colleagues have got on board to help raise funds and to climb the mountain with them on the 15th of April.

Declan lost his son Declan jnr on the 29th of July 2015 in a farming accident at Declan, grandparents home in Mayo . Declan was four and half years old and was full of life and loved the freedom of the country.

Embrace farm helped us by introducing us to other farm families , who had lost children , parents and siblings in farming tragedies throughout Ireland North and South, and bring us all together yearly to remember them in a remberance service.

Embrace also arranged counselling for the adults and children , as was required and is ongoing continously.

Kenny lost his baby boy Zack at four and half months old in the care of Crumlin children's hospital . Baby Zack was born in Letterkenny hospital but was transferred to Crumlin as baby Zack was diagnosed with a hole in his heart and Chirrosis of his lungs . Kenny and his family found the care and support from the staff in Crumlin as amazing as they never gave up the fight to save him .

Martins little girl Elena was born in Galway on the fifth of June 2007. A day into her life the doctors found a heart murmur , and she was transferred to Crumlin.

It turned out Elena had a serious heart condition but despite this she had the biggest heart for other children as whenever there was a child in tears , Elena would be there to comfort them . If there were new kids in the hospital Elena would be there to greet them and make them feel welcome . She was always a happy little girl .

Elena passed on the 25th of May 2012 just before her fifth birthday and after her last big surgery.

The doctors and staff in Crumlin Hospital were amazing and took great care of our little girl Elena during her short life .
