We have pledged a donation package of €50,000 to help those displaced. This will include direct monetary aid of over €30,000 and an initiative to provide 250,000 nutritional, milk powder-based meal kits using over 5 tonnes of milk powder from Glanbia farmers to Ukrainian refugees fleeing into Poland.
All donations will go to UNICEF and its team on the ground, who are already at work to help the millions of displaced children and their families as they strive to find safety.
UNICEF is working across eastern Ukraine to scale up life-saving programmes for children. This includes trucking safe water to conflict-affected areas; prepositioning health, hygiene, and emergency education supplies as close as possible to communities near the line of contact; and working with municipalities to ensure immediate help for children and families in need.
