Well, that's it.... we've done it! Between us we've raised nearly €500 for Breakthrough Cancer Research and I couldn't be more grateful for all the support and good will. It was an amazing experience and totally worth the many, many hours of training and saddle sores. Well, maybe not the saddle sores ;-) It was really great to hear that about 1,000 of the other cyclists also chose to cycle for Team Breakthrough and in total they've already raised over €130,000, with which they're absolutely delighted. So, thanks again, please gives yourselves a good old slap on the back!
On Saturday May 6th I managed a 140km round trip spin to Tralee to see the start of the Tralee - Fenit Greenway. This was my longest cycle yet and I felt surprisingly okay after it. Which makes me think that I might actually be able for this RoK challenge :-) The Greenway looks great but I didn't want to tempt fate by attempting the extra distance to Fenit, on this occasion. But like The Terminator... I'll be baaack!
