Thank you for taking the time to visit our memorial page for John Kennedy  Lyre, Clonakilty who passed away recently. He had a life long passion for music. His mouth organ was always in his top pocket, ready for a tune when asked for or sometimes even when it wasn’t! He also played the accordion and was happiest when he had both at his disposal. 

In his final weeks John wished to hold a concert in support of 2 charities that were close to his heart - The Irish Cancer Society and West Cork Rapid Response. Wonderful friends and neighbours have come together to ensure that this wish is fulfilled and the concert will go ahead on April 5th in Rossmore Theatre.
