This July, I will climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and I would love your help in raising some vital funds for Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust along the way.
All going to plan, I will summit Mt. Kilimanjaro on the 15th of July, which as it happens, is the 5th anniversary of the passing of my Dad from his brave fight with cancer.
Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust supports patients receiving treatment in St James's Hospital stem cell unit. During Dad's year of treatment, BMLT were an indispensable source of support and comfort for both Dad and our family. We were afforded the use of a BMLT apartment, which are available to patients and the families of patients who live outside of Dublin. This was a vital source of solace for our family and gave Dad immense comfort while going through this intensive treatment.
I would very much appreciate a donation to help BMLT in their efforts to help fund the research and development of methods of managing treatment for those affected by cancer in the future.
The Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust was established in 1980, and has provided ongoing support for the development of the National Bone Marrow Transplant Programme at St James's Hospital since that time. Funds raised by the Trust provide crucial support to patients and families undergoing these complex treatments, including specialist nursing and other vital supports.
We have acquired seven apartments adjacent to the Hilton Hotel in Kilmainham.The apartments are for the use of patients and
