Welcome to the Lee-FFey challenge fundraiser!
Traditionally the Recruit Class that passes through the fire brigade training centre in Marino (The O’Brien Institute) raises a sum of money for a charity of their choice. Class 2/22 have chosen BUMBLEance and they aim to raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile charity.
The current class of 33 has 5 recruits from Cork City Fire Brigade and for this reason it was decided that the event will be a race “Blues V Reds”. Since the combined lengths of the River Lee and Liffey are 222Km and this is class 222 it is very apt that the challenge would be to Row this distance.
The Challenge: The two teams, one based in Dublin and the other in Cork will compete against each other to cover a distance of 222km in a relay event on rowing machines. The winner will get the plaudits and bragging rights but the real winner will be BUMBLEance with your generous donations.
On that note, we “Class 222” would like to say a big thank you to all who have supported us in this journey as without you this could not have happened. We hope you can help us by donating whatever you can. Simply click the Donate button above. All donations are processed securely. You can also share my page using Share options below.
