We are seeking to secure funding of €1.5m to complete an exciting development. With your help we can expand this service and bring a world-renowned equine-based therapy to thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. Founded in 2008, Stewarts Care Equine Therapy Centre is a unique service that has become an essential learning facility combining equine therapy, horticulture, pottery and community. We provide excellence in education and training, encouraging personal development and career progression pathways for all. This is a safe and inclusive holistic environment where all levels of ability are welcomed, supported and cherished. The venue is ideally suited for the expansion of our services.

Your impact

By supporting this expansion, you will be helping to increase the capacity of the service and bring life changing therapeutic opportunities to thousands of children and adults. The new service will:

> Support a wider audience in the disability community making Equine Based Therapy accessible to approx. 40 additional disability organisations, and special/mainstream schools with autism units.

> Increase delivery of therapy from 140 to 800 sessions per week.

> Adopt ‘Horse Boy Method’ of equine therapy into the service.

Stewarts Care has provided innovative care and support for children and adults with intellectual disabilities for more than 150 years. Stewarts Care were the first organisation in Ireland to provide this essential service. Our team is dedicated to empowering and supporting individuals with different abilities to have an enriched life experience based on their own choices and decisions. Today, Stewarts Care provides services to over 2,000 people with intellectual disabilities and autism. Services provided by Stewarts Care include:
