What is it?

I’ll be completing the following 3 endurance challenges in a 6 week period as follows:

Grafman Triathlon (English Middle Distance National Championships) - 28 June 2015. 1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run. (www.nicetrievents.com/gallery/grafman-2015/)
Challenge Roth. Long (‘ironman’) distance triathlon. 3.8km (2.4 mile) swim, 180km (112 mile) bike, marathon run 42.2 km (26.2 mile). (www.challenge-roth.com). [My first time ever attempting a long distance triathlon.]
Bridge to Bridge Swim. 14.1km River Thames swim from Henley to Marlow. 9 August 2015. www.henleyswim.com/events/bridge-to-bridge/ [the longest distance I’ve ever previously swam is 3.8km once earlier this year]

What am I fundraising for?

The Jack & Jill Children's Foundation (see below for more details). Jack & Jill have proved an invaluable help to my brother and his family in helping care for my 2 year old nephew James over the past year.

What’s the relevance of ‘Crown’ in the ‘Triple Crown Endurance Challenge’

As an additional incentive for you to part with your hard earned cash, depending on the amount of donations received, I will undertake to incrementally shed hair from my crown as follows:

€1,400/£1,000 – 10cm beard trim (3/4cm remains!)
€2,100/£1,500 – 10cm hair trim (15/16cm remains!)
€2,800/£2,000 – trim remaining beard (stubble remains!)
€3,500/£2,500 – ‘normal’ hair cut (‘short back & sides’!)
€4,200/£3,000 – clean shaven (‘cut throat’!)
€4,900/£3,500 – crew cut (blade no. 2-3 head shave!)
£5,600/£4,000 – bald (blade no. 0 head shave!)

My nephew James (who as you’ll see from photos!) has been mimicking his uncle’s hair his style, has also committed to ‘trimming’ his hair, if a substantial sum is raised!
