Hello everyone! 

On November 2nd, 2018, I will undertake a 12,000 km (7,500 mile) solo & unsupported cycle down the length of Africa. My journey starts in Cairo, Egypt, & will end hopefully 4 months later in Cape Town, South Africa. I'll be unsupported, meaning I will be carrying all of my gear, clothes, food, water, tent & so on. There will be no vehicle following me. It'll me just me & the open road. Also, along the way, I will climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain, standing tall at 5,595 metres. 

Traveling through 10 countries in all, I will cycle along the Nile past ancient temples, through the Sudanese desert, and up and down the biblical landscapes of Ethiopia’s rugged Simian Mountains. After crossing the Equator in Kenya, I will pedal past legendary Mount Kilimanjaro, to Lake Malawi, Victoria Falls, and along the edges of the magnificent Kalahari and Namib deserts, en route to the finish of my epic journey in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa.

I'm doing this huge challenge in aid of the Donal Walsh Live Life Foundation. Donal Walsh touched so many lives when he came to prominence through his writings & subsequent appearance on Brendan O’Connor’s ‘The Saturday Night Show’. Donal who fund raised tirelessly while battling Cancer has now had the Donal Walsh #Livelife Foundation set up by his family primarily in order to promote his anti-suicide #Livelife message. The foundation will also assist in his other causes of providing age appropriate teenage facilities in hospital and hospice care centres.

I wish to support this wonderful cause by raising €17,595. A euro for every KM I cycle (12,000km) & a euro for every meter of Mount Kilimanjaro I climb (5,595m). Thus, any donation you can make to this foundation will be greatly appreciated.
