Murroe Community Council intends to put in place an all-inclusive playground as part of Phase Four of the Community Field Project. Murroe’s existing playground opened in January 2011 and has provided an important amenity for children and young families in the area since that time. Unfortunately, the facility is situated at a site that will shortly be re-developed to provide a community hub and car park at Murroe Town Park.
Murroe Wood Park CLG has been awarded funding from the LEADER Rural Development Programme towards the construction of a new, inclusive, playground at Murroe Wood Park. This will replace the existing playground which is closing to facilitate the development of a community hub, plaza and car park at the site.
