Patrickswell National School is a Deis Rural school in County Limerick with approximately 140 pupils. Although we are considered a rural school, we have a very diverse and multicultural enrolment and are very proud of the welcoming atmosphere that has been created, and developed, in the school.

Like most primary schools, we do not receive enough financial support from the Department of Education. Especially due to the present financial situation, we find that our finances are very stretched to cover the many necessary bills that we have to pay. This means that the additional, nice investments that benefit the children are being put on the long finger as we do not have funds to complete these tasks.

The Parents Association are an active committee and we are thankful to the local community for always supporting us so generously. We are willing to put in time tohelp the school but need funding to carry out the projects that we want to proceed with.

Therefore, we are asking present and past parents, past pupils and the wider Patrickswell and Limerick Community to dig deep for us and donate as much as they can-every little bit helps.

We also would greatly appreciate it if you could share this page so that we can help provide our children with the educational setting that they deserve. The funds raises will help to complete a number of projects which include:

1. We would like to freshen up our playground by getting new Playground markings/games painted onto the yard in the coming months.

2. The Students Council would like to install a number of new Buddy Benches around the school grounds that can be used by the pupils during lunch times. These Buddy Benches really help the children that struggle to make friends integrate into games during lunchtimes.

3. Funds are needed to invest in much needed equipment for PE, Music and Science.

4. Any surplus funds raised will be used to benefit the pupils during their time in Patrickswell National School.
