On 16/01/2023 Cork County Council's Planning department granted planning permission for an inappropriate industrial warehousing complex in the rural townland of Tullig, in the heart of the West Cork countryside. While our struggle is local, focused on the threat this industrial development poses to the underlying fabric of our rural community, it also has implications that should send shock waves through small rural communities across Ireland. With demand for industrial storage increasing, if this project gets the green light profiteering industrialists across Ireland will jump at the chance to exploit low-cost agricultural land and rural communities for their inappropriate industrial development.
Our community will continue to fight this incomprehensible decision, and we value your support to raise the money to appeal this decision.
