This event is a joint initiative between Courtmacsherry RNLI and Barryroe GAA in support of the Respect the Water Campaign to help prevent drownings at sea. We encourage you to walk any distance including a marathon distance (42.2km) anywhere worldwide during the month of August 2021 and send photos to our facebook page. This is the 5th year of this event but due to Covid-19 our one day event is redesigned and now will take place anytime during the month of August. For those of you who can travel to Courtmacsherry, this year the Great Wild Atlantic Marathon route between Courtmacsherry and South Ring will be signposted fully for the Month of August. We would ask that you make a small donation to the event and all funds will be given to Courtmacsherry RNLI.
