On Saturday July 19th, a group of courageous swimmers took on one of Ireland’s toughest open water challenges a 13km swim across Galway Bay all in support of Cancer Care West.

Thanks to this enhanced platform and the dedication of the swimmers and supporters, participants have raised an impressive 17% more compared to last year, paired with the percentage of fundraising pages with donations up +7% 🎉
The donation process has been fully optimised to keep donors within the same site, eliminating the need to navigate to a separate page. This seamless and user-friendly flow ensures a smoother experience, making it easier and more intuitive for donors to contribute.
Fundraisers benefited from a custom-branded fundraising hub tailored to the Galway Bay Swim. This allows participants to easily track their progress and engage with a live leaderboard, fostering a sense of community and friendly competition all while supporting Cancer Care West.
So far for this year’s event, over €166,000 has been raised for Cancer Care West, a vital organisation providing free support services to cancer patients and their families throughout the West of Ireland.
