This is our 5th annual Tractor Run. We’re doing it a little bit different this year, this year we’re hosting a Tractor and Truck Run on December 4th in Glenamaddy Equestrian Centre and we’re also hosting a raffle which will run online up until December 4th 2022.
The draw will take place on December 4th 2022 @ 9:00pm.
There will be an Early Bird draw on 1st October - see prizes below.
Every year we fundraise for a different charity, this year we are fundraising for Join Our Boys.
Archie, George and Issac have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Sadly Archie passed away recently leaving his family absolutely heartbroken.
As a parent myself, all we want to do is protect our children.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) means that their muscles lack a protein called Dystrophin. Without this protein their muscles essentially cannot function properly and they become hard and die.
Children with Duchenne lose the ability to walk between the age of 8-12, but some children never walk. Their arms become weaker and weaker and by their late teens they become totally paralysed. They require ventilation to stay alive and are fed by a tube into their stomach.
Archie was 16, he fought to stay here, he was so looking forward to the tractor and truck run.
When I started organising this event in January, never did I think that Archie wouldn’t be here.
