Strokestown Community Playground is an essential meeting place for children with their parents, grandparents and friends within the heart of our community.

It a safe environment for children to let loose and run off pent up energy with friends, while parents avail of the beautiful picnic benches and socialise with other parents.

The Playground has been a fantastic amenity for so many throughout covid-19, giving children a chance to have fun, build confidences and use their imagination.

It has been an outdoor meeting point for many families, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles throughout this extraordinary time.

Unfortunately due to the constraints for covid-19 our committee has been unable to carry out normal fundraising activities and now find ourselves in a position that the playground will have to close due to a lack of funds for safety maintenance and insurance.
