On the 2nd June, 2022 we remember Brian who died suddenly at the young age of 29. Brian’s passing has left a gaping hole in our family for the past 20 years. Sudden loss is very painful and very hard to come to terms with as you never had the chance to say goodbye.
The invasion of the Ukraine by Russia has visited war upon these innocent people living their daily lives. This war has taken so many lives before their time and has left many families traumatised by the sudden loss of their loved ones and unable to say goodbye. This raffle is in memory of all these lost lives and their families.
This picture was painted by Brian’s mother, Ann, who throughout her lifetime has seen many wars come and go. Each war has etched images of horror, devastation and loss in her mind and these images have been reflected in this picture. Ann is a mother, who has experienced the pain of losing a son suddenly at a young age, and would like to do her bit on Brian’s 20th anniversary to support the Ukrainian people. All funds go to The Irish Red Cross.
