Each year Boston Scientific Employees nominate and vote for the charity of their choice that they would love to support for the year. We aim to fundraise €35,000 towards the charities identified project. Thank you for your continued support and donations each year.

This years Charity is Lus Na Greine. Who support children from the age of 2 up until school going age. Who are experiencing developmental delays in the area of speech, social play and learning. Children attend Lus Na Greine may have an Intellectual disability and/or a Physical disability and some children will present with Autism. Lus Na Greine works closely with the HSE Children's Disability teams (CDNT4/5). Together we provide individualised programs to our children with the support of Occupational Therapists, Psychologists. Physiotherapists and Speech ana Language Therapist linked to the families

How will the money help

Our vision is to completely transform our outside area to become fully accessible. We wish for an outdoor classroom that all Children can use throughout the year. The heated classroom requires sensory. movement swings a play equipment to ensure the children enjoy the nurturing benefits of me senses and the outdoors.

We would like to make our garden accessible for all children all year round. Some Children with mobility issues cannot access our grass area and we would like to put down soft play tiles to ensure all children have equal access to the play area, regardless of their abilities experience the benefits of sensory inclusive play.

Picture the pure delight as children discover the therapeutic rhythm of a swing, the comforting embrace of a sensory toy, or the exhilarating freedom of movement, all tailored to meet their unique needs.

Currently, our beautiful grass area, while cherished, remains a barrier for some of our children with mobility challenges, preventing them from experiencing its simple joys. We want to dismantle these barriers, replacing them with soft play tiles. This vital change will mean that every single child, no matter their physical abilities, can access the play area, can feel the sun on their face, can hear the laughter of their friends, and can fully participate in the enriching, inclusive sensory play that is so vital for their development and well-being.
