Fundraiser Spotlight: Honouring Owen & Jack – turning loss into action.

We love to highlight fundraisers that embody the true spirit of community, remembrance, and impact – and this one is truly special. A group of fourteen former classmates from Clongowes Wood College (Class of 2007) are taking on the Stockholm Marathon on May 31st in memory of their dear friends, Owen Lochrin and Jack Lidholm, who sadly passed away last year.

This isn’t just about running 42.2km. It’s about turning loss into action, celebrating the lives of Owen and Jack, and raising much-needed funds for two incredible charities that meant so much to them.

“Jack & Owen meant a huge amount to all of us and we wanted to make sure we paid tribute to their memories by collaborating with their families to raise funds for their chosen charities.”
Hugh McMahon, Participant and Organiser.

Supporting Two Life-Changing Causes

All funds raised will be split evenly between two impactful organisations:

💙 Cancer Trials Ireland–  Facilitating cutting-edge clinical trials and advancing cancer research to improve patient care across Ireland.
🐶 Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland – Providing highly trained service dogs to children with autism, helping improve their safety, independence, and quality of life.
