Rachel is CUHs Child Play Specialist. She helps all the children who come to the hospital. Her job is to provide play experiences that support children to cope better with their hospital journey.

Every day as a play specialist differs and that is the joy of the job! I work with inpatients and outpatients across four Paediatric wards. Play is the language of childhood. I use play to help children prepare for hospital procedures. It supports them through the emotions that come up when they are sick and in pain. Play reduces their fears and empowers them to feel involved in their treatment. Please step into my shoes. Join me as I walk the corridors of CUH bringing back children's smiles."
