From selling penny sweets to getting pennies in, we are fundraising for Friends of Thurles Hospital of the Assumption to raise funds for equipment for the physical therapy team to acknowledge the excellent work that we have seen first hand in the Rehabilitation Unit / Physiotherapy Department, and assist future patients.

The Hospital is a huge benefit to the town and we are forever grateful for the care, compassion, patience, and the support that the nurses, carers, porters, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and admin staff have shown us all.

The Friends of the Hospital Assumption Thurles is a charitable organisation (No CHY 10135) that acts as a conduit between the public and the hospital to raise funds to ensure that the community served by the hospital benefits to the fullest extent from advances in medical science. Friends of the Hospital Assumption are actively involved with the hospital management team on how the money fundraised is allocated within the hospital.

The Community Hospital of the Assumption is a modern facility located on the outskirts of Thurles town. The centre is operated by the Health Service Executive (HSE) and is registered to accommodate a maximum of 60 residents. The service provides continuing care for people over 18 years of age across a range of abilities from low to maximum needs.
