On the 9th May 2007 our family's world came crashing down, Patrick O'Hare was 22 years old and tragically lost his life in a drowning accident on Lough Mask. Throughout the night his family, friends and the very brave volunteers of The Corrib/Mask Search and Rescue, The Shannon base helicopter and the Guards did all they could to find him. May 9th marks the 10th Anniversary of his untimely death and we his family have decided to mark this by setting up this page to try raise some much needed funds to keep supporting our local Corrib/Mask Search and Rescue which is funded solely by donations and which is all volunteers. They provide boat cover for both Lough Mask and Lough Corrib. The people who man these boats are all heroes in our eyes, putting their lives on the line day and night, rain or shine to keep our waters safe. On 1st July his sister Michelle will run the Achill half marathon in his memory. This page will run until then in memory of a Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, Friend and genuine great guy who was taken from us all way too soon. We would ask you to please consider donating what ever you can and keep him in your memory. Thank you all in advance for your support and all the support you have shown us over the last 10 years. The O'Hare family.
