Across in Ireland provides a very special type of holiday to persons who have a physical disability. We travel to Lourdes or Rheinsberg (Ger) by Jumbulance, a combined 12m coach and ambulance. The group travels overland as many disabled (VIP's) would find it impossible to fly for various reasons. The group, while away, live as a large family. The volunteers include at least one doctor and 4 nurses along with the regular volunteers, who become the arms and legs of the VIP's and heed their wishes to give them a holiday of a lifetime. In the interests of best practice, all volunteers are Garda vetted.
