DSI is the National Governing Body of Deaf sports across all 32 counties of Ireland, North and South. We work alongside the Irish Sports Council and aim to promote and develop the social and community benefits of sports for Deaf & Hard of Hearing people starting at a grassroots level and continuing on to club level and then to national and international levels. We also provide opportunities for potential athletes to take part in competitions across all levels.

Sporting activities are provided for all levels of ability and to people of all ages.

Profits from fundraising ventures will primarily be put towards High Performance, by supporting internationally competing athletes. This is an area for which Deaf Sports Ireland does not receive any funding. Some of the money raised will also be used for grassroots development, regionally and nationally.
