The renovation of the lower floor of the Polish House at 20 Fitzwilliam Place in Dublin started in August 2017. A large front room and four smaller rooms in the basement of the building are to be developed for use by the Polish community in Ireland. The boards of Ognisko Polskie CLG, the Irish Polish Society (IPS) and the Polish Social and Cultural Association (POSK) request your help to enable this project to go ahead. So far, approximately €45,000 has been committed by the Polish Senate and a further €70,000 is being donated by Ognisko Polskie CLG.

We still need to raise €130,000 to complete the works!

where your money goes

At present the ground floor of the building is where all activities take place since the upper floors must be rented in order to cover annual running costs of the building. This has restricted the number of events which can be run by the Associations working in the House. The development of the basement rooms will allow for more social and cultural events to take place, enriching the lives of Polish people living in Ireland and of Irish people with an interest in Polish culture.

In order to raise the €130,000 required to complete the renovation, we are inviting you to become a sponsor of the only Polish House in Ireland and to have your name permanently engraved on plaques located in the high-profile areas listed below.
  • The Conference & Exhibition Room
  • Board of Directors Room
  • The Main Entrance Foyer
  • The Front Steps Plaque
  • Corridor 1 Wall of Fame
  • Corridor 2 Gallery Wall
  • The Stone Steps Gallery
  • Archive Office
  • Kitchen
  • Restroom
  • Archive Store

For a minimum donation of €250 or more, your name will be acknowledged on a wall plaque. Individual donations of upwards of €20 are also welcome.
