Youth Work Ireland Galway is a local Charity working with local children and young people in Galway City and County. Participation is voluntary and most children and young people register and join our clubs and projects to take part in fun activities and to meet new people or join their friends. Some young people are referred to Youth Work Ireland Galway by teachers, parents, social workers and other supportive adults, but at the end of the day, the decision to participate is down to the individual young person.

We have projects based in Galway City Centre, Westside, Loughrea, Ballinasloe, Tuam and we support 7 Youth Clubs run by volunteers. We work with communities to set up and deliver youth programmes on a voluntary basis, and by developing services for young people. We aim to empower young people, boost their self-confidence, enhance their skills and give them the opportunity to engage in their communities in a positive way.
