Banna Rescue is a voluntary Search and Rescue (SAR) unit located at Banna Strand Co.Kerry, Ireland. Part of the Community Rescue Boats of Ireland (CRBI), Banna Rescue responds to 112 or 999 emergency calls under the Irish Coast Guard.

overview

On average 133 people die from drowning in Ireland every year. A chilling statistic, however there are agencies, organisations and volunteers around the country working to reduce these figures. Banna Rescue is one such unit. Volunteer crews are ready to respond at a moments notice and are available 24/7 365 days of the year.

where your money goes

All proceeds go to maintaining and improving the service. Donations fund volunteer training, crew kits, rescue equipment and maintenance of our two lifeboats and station. Donations also help us conduct intervention beach patrols during busy periods; thereby hopefully heading off trouble before it happens.
