Safe Ireland
Safe Ireland is the national policy, service support and development hub for 37 specialist domestic abuse services in Ireland who respond to the safety, emotional and practical needs of women and children experiencing domestic abuse and coercive control.
We collaborate closely with these frontline domestic violence services across communities in Ireland, state agencies, civic society organisations, business, community, and cultural organisations throughout the country. We work directly with women and children to bring their experiences and voices into research, policy, service development and violence prevention programmes.
We are dedicated to transforming how the whole system, including government departments and other services, respond to domestic violence. Part of achieving that is helping people to better understand the problem, its impact and how to respond to it. We do this through training, public awareness campaigns, creating dialogue and encouraging creative and innovative thinking about the solutions.
Our core strategic focus is to change culture and transform the response to gender based violence in Ireland and to progress towards realising our vision for a safe Ireland.
where your money goes
Your donation enables Safe Ireland to continue do it s work in helping women and Children.
Your donation will be used to ensure that Safe
Ireland can respond to the emerging and ever-changing needs of DV services
throughout the country. In crisis, victims
need appropriate housing, trained court supports and specialist
therapeutic responses in order to deal with the trauma of violence, dislocation
and the adversarial nature of courts, before they can even begin to
recover and start new lives. Your donation will help us remain agile and
responsive in our work so we can actively reach-out to women, as well as
support those who make contact. Our aim is to create, for the first time,
holistic social and political structures which provide a dignified, accessible
Domestic Violence Service that is nationally available. Women in violent,
controlling relationships have a right to safety, protection and recovery. This
is our work.
Again, thank you.
